1️⃣ Terms & Conditions (MVP v1.)

[ShareCart] (“Platform”, “we”, “us”) provides a marketplace connecting Sellers and Buyers. By using the platform, you agree to the following terms:

1. Platform Role

    • The Platform only connects Sellers and Buyers; we do not own any products sold.

    • All transactions are directly between Buyers and Sellers, with payments temporarily held on the Platform.

2. Seller Obligations

    • Sellers are responsible for product descriptions, pricing, shipping, and providing valid Royal Mail tracking.

    • Sellers must ship products to all Buyers who have paid, even if the group does not reach full capacity.

3. Payment & Platform Fee

    • Buyer payment goes into the Platform account secured by Stripe provider (On-hold).

    • A platform fee of 5% is non-refundable and will be deducted from the payment released to the Seller.

    • Seller payments are released only after submitting valid Royal Mail tracking.

    • If tracking is invalid or the Seller fails to ship, the Platform reserves the right to delay or withhold payout.

4. Group-Buy

    • Products may be sold via group-buy. Buyers must pay before the group deadline.

    • If a group does not reach full size, Sellers must still ship to Buyers who have paid.

5. Shipping & Tracking

    • Sellers must use Royal Mail and provide valid tracking numbers.

    • The Platform is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage during shipping.

6. Refund & Dispute

    • Buyers may request a refund if the Seller fails to ship or tracking is invalid.

    • Platform fee (5%) is non-refundable.

    • Disputes will be reviewed by the Platform; however, the Platform is not responsible for the product itself.

7. Liability

    • The Platform is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses from Buyer-Seller transactions.

    • Total liability is capped at the platform fee collected.

8. Governing Law

    • These Terms are governed by the Laws of England & Wales.

2️⃣ Privacy Policy (MVP v1.)

1. Data We Collect

    • Email, name, delivery address, payment information (via Stripe), and Royal Mail tracking.

2. How We Use Your Data

    • To process orders, release payouts to Sellers, send notifications, and facilitate group-buy transactions.

    • We do not sell or share data with third parties except payment providers (Stripe) and shipping providers (Royal Mail).

3. Cookies / Analytics

    • We use cookies to improve UX, track visits, and provide non-personalised advertising.

4. Security

    • Data is stored using Stripe security standards, HTTPS, and encryption.

5. User Rights

    • Buyers and Sellers may access, update, or request deletion of personal data under GDPR.

6. Data Retention

  • Data is retained until transactions are completed or as required by law.
 

💡 Note:

    • Buyer payment is secured by Stripe in platform account → funds held safely until tracking is submitted.

    • Platform fee 5% is deducted automatically at payout.

    • Group-buy logic ensures buyers who paid always receive shipped items, even if the group is not full.
